The Last of Us Part I is coming to Steam on Tuesday, 28 March 2023 - marking the first time that the series will be playable outside of the PlayStation ecosystem. However, that doesn't mean that a PlayStation is the only way to play the series. Sony has a strict exclusivity policy for its first-party titles, meaning it's extremely unlikely that they'll ever be available to play on an Xbox console. They were developed by Naughty Dog, a game development company that's been owned by Sony since 2001, when it was busy making the Crash Bandicoot series. As of right now - including the remaster and Part 1 remake versions, The Last of Us is available on PS3, PS4, and PS5. ![]() ![]() The Last of Us and its sequel are not available to play on Xbox, as they are first-party titles for PlayStation platforms.
